For the past twenty-five years, food service worker Katie Lumpkin has been a beloved fixture in George School's dining room. At the all-school assembly on Friday, September 8, Head of School Nancy Starmer recognized Katie for her service to George School, noting that Katie's first day at George School was exactly twenty-five years ago that day. "Katie is someone who everyone at George School knows," Nancy said. "Because of her big heart and her loving nature, Katie has the ability to brighten the day of anyone on campus." The audience stood and applauded, and Nancy presented Katie with a gift, along with a tiara and a corsage.
