George School Welcomes Carl Corino as Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach

George School is excited to welcome Carl Corino as the head coach for Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse.

Carl attended the University of Tennessee where he competed as a member of the crew team while earning his teaching certification. He later attended Cairn University to further his education with a certification for teaching Health/PE at the K-12 level.

After coaching middle school and varsity lacrosse teams for schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the past 12 years, Carl is excited to join George School as head coach.

Carl brings coaching experience across disciplines and sports. “Coaching is a huge part of who I am,” said Carl. “I have been coaching several sports at many different levels since the early 1990s, including Little League travel baseball and softball, travel soccer, varsity basketball, and varsity lacrosse.”

“I have enjoyed sharing my passion for wellness and the importance of physical and emotional health with my students since 2018,” Carl added.

“I am excited to be able to hire a person like Carl,” said Director of Athletics Kurt Ruch. “He brings a wealth of experience to George School . With his experience, Carl will be able to help our lacrosse team develop and strengthen their skills.”

Carl was first introduced to George School through the George School Aquatics (GSA) program. “My daughter swam for GSA for several years, and my youngest son currently swims on the team. I have spent a lot of time at George School over the years and am grateful for the opportunity that Kurt has provided for me to build a program and culture with the lacrosse team.”

A teacher and a coach, Carl enjoys sharing his passion for wellness and the importance of physical and emotional health with students. “My philosophy is simple…SHOW UP! Show up every day physically and mentally, ready to learn, compete, and have fun!”
