A Tour of Chicago Parks
Ernest "Ernie” Wong ’77
Founder and Principal of Site Design Group, Ltd.

Saturday, May 22, 2010
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Members of the George School community have the unique opportunity to learn about three of Chicago’s newest parks in the company of the internationally acclaimed, award-winning landscape architect who brought them to life.

We will explore three wonderful newly-launched public parks in Chicago with Ernie Wong ’77, who has generously offered to share his expertise with the extended George School family.

The tour will end in Chinatown, where we will enjoy a catered Chinese buffet at Ping Tom Memorial Park. (This park, which overlooks the Chicago River, was the final destination in the sixth season of the television series The Amazing Race.)

Tickets are $35 per person and must be purchased in advance. Professionally guided tour, transportation, and Chinese buffet lunch are included. (Moderate exercise, bursts of hilarity, and expanded worldview—no extra charge.) The tour will go on rain or shine, so wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if necessary.
