George School's third annual Art for Relief, a student-organized night of art to raise money for relief efforts, will be held at George School on Saturday, March 1, 2008. The evening will begin with an art show and silent auction at 6:00 p.m. in the meetinghouse and conclude with an array of humanitarian-themed performances at 7:30 p.m. in Walton Center Auditorium. All proceeds from this year's event will go to the PRASAD Project, a project to raise funds so that cataracts can be removed from children's eyes in Mexico.

The event was organized by a committee of students—Kelsey Yonce, Liz Arvey, DonChristian Jones, Geena Ianni—in conjunction with faculty sponsor Rachel Fumia. The art show will feature mixed media work produced and donated by students, faculty, and friends. The silent auction will include artwork contributed by local professional artists, along with gift certificates and other items donated by local businesses, alumni, and parents. Please mark the date on your calendar and attend the Art for Relief benefit. If you want to donate items or be a sponsor in the program, please contact faculty sponsor Rachel Fumia at rachel_fumia@georgeschool.org or 215-579-6783 no later than Wednesday, January 30. Please make your check payable to George School and write "PRASAD" on the memo line.
