A successful blog is probably usually true to its mission.

Pondering the whys and wherefores of blogging, I have found myself wandering back to the GS mission statement for inspiration. Despite bearing the scars from mission-statement-writing-by-committee of yore, I have been led to write one of my own, from scratch. As it were.
With humor as its touchstone and a slight touch of characteristic GS irreverence at its core, this blog will seek to develop a cheerful following of GS alumni who are interested in hearing about the pursuit of truth and whimsy in and out of the GS classroom, sharing their service experiences and peacemaking activities on campus and around the globe, and encouraging George School to be faithful to its commitment to the stewardship of the earth. We want our alumni to find renewal in their own lives through a lifelong relationship with George School, to treasure learning for its own sake, and to use it to benefit a diverse world. Above all, we want them to continue to "let their lives speak” and, on occasion, let us know what their lives have been saying lately.
I tried to figure out how to get sticky buns into it but decided that it was a half-baked idea. (Sorry.)
